suggested meditation: “I have chosen you, and have not cast you away:” (part of Is 41:9)
The Lord Jesus (Who is the LORD) has chosen you. and He has not cast you away. He will never cast you away. “whoever comes to Me I will never cast out” (from John 6:37) You are His. He chose you.
He has separated you apart from the world and unto Himself.
“For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be His people, His treasured possession.” Deut 7:6
Just like a wife was chosen by her husband, out of all other women, so were you chosen by the LORD. You’re His. Special to Him and set apart to Him. His family.
meditation: “I have chosen you, and have not cast you away:” (part of Is 41:9)
Master Jesus has helped me at my lowest. When I have completely screwed up everything in every way and have felt like the dust of the earth, and when absolutely no one else could give the help I needed, He could and did and does. This is my Lord.
Remember how Jesus said that “As Moses listed up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life”? (John 3:14-15) When the children of Israel were bitten by snakes (even though it was their own fault), the LORD had Moses put a bronze serpent on a pole and whoever looked expectantly at the serpent on the pole, even though they had been bitten, would live. “Make a fiery, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live” (see Numbers 21, also note, the word for “look” used there is from a Hebrew word meaning “look expectantly”) So Jesus said that He would be lifted up in like manner, so whoever looks at Him on the cross (pole), having been bitten, shall live. So concerning healing, finances, problems at work, want for happiness, mental sanity, spiritual peace, protection, and any other needs and wants, simply look at Jesus on the cross. The nails in His hands for you. How He was pierced for our transgressions, crushed for our iniquities. How He hung there for you. Just simply look expectantly. Expecting to be healed, helped, blessed, by looking at Him on the cross, His work on the cross. Jesus loves you.
I wrote this after hearing a message from Joseph Prince, and some of this is derived from it. Glory to God through Christ for His work through Pastor Prince. Many of us are seeking (or have sought) attention, approval, and/or love from others. Whether it’s from our father, mother, sister, brother, daughter, son, friends, co-workers, boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, etc, most of us have wanted to be loved, wanted, and regarded as special. But some of us have not received that love, and it’s hurt us. Well, something very inspiring, encouraging, and life-changing is found in the Book of Genesis, chapter 29. Jacob had two wives: Rachel and Leah. He was in love with Rachel and had worked several years in order to have her as a wife. However, the other wife, Leah (Rachel’s older sister, who Jacob had been tricked into marrying by her father) was not loved. Leah wanted Jacob’s love, but Jacob loved Rachel. “he loved Rachel more than Leah.” (part of Genesis 29:30) If someone else is your mother’s or father’s favorite child, or someone else is favorited by your boss, or the person you want doesn’t want you back, it can hurt. However, let’s keep looking at what happened in Leah’s life, and see why we can rejoice in the LORD now. “When the LORD saw that Leah was not loved, He opened her womb, but Rachel was barren.” Wow. The LORD saw that Leah was not loved, and He cared, and He blessed her. And He blessed her with something that Rachel lacked. Ability to have children. Now, Leah thought that because of the blessing that her husband (Jacob) would then love her. Just like some of us have thought “if only I was prettier” or “if only I had more success”, “if only my muscles were bigger,” “if only I had more money” etc, wanting someone’s love. Leah thought if she had a son, then her husband would love her. The LORD gave her a son. “Leah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Reuben, for she said, ‘It is because the LORD has seen my misery. Surely my husband will love me now.’” (Gen 29:32) Then she gave birth to another son and said “Because the LORD heard that I am not loved, He gave me this one too. So she named him Simeon.” And then a third son. And she said “Now at last my husband will become attached to me, because I have borne him three sons. So he was named Levi.” But even though Leah gave birth to three sons by Jacob, Jacob still did not turn his love to her. However, notice that the LORD’s favor was on her. The LORD was blessing her and caring for her. He gave Leah all these children, yet Rachel was barren. The LORD had seen Leah’s affliction, and cared. He Himself loved Leah. (and He Himself loves us). And Leah gave birth to a fourth son and “she said, ‘This time I will praise the LORD.’ So she named him Judah. Then she stopped having children.” Notice that after the fourth son, Leah praised the LORD and made no mention of her husband’s lack of love (as she previously had). She had the LORD’s love. And she no longer needed to bear children in order to try to gain love. Also, her fourth son was Judah! The LORD Jesus Christ came from the tribe of Judah. Jesus is the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. The LORD greatly loved and honored Leah by giving her Judah. So, Leah had four sons, including Judah, that the LORD gave her. Leah recognized the LORD’s care for her, and she no longer needed to seek her husband’s approval or attention or love. She had the LORD’s. You have the LORD’s love. He loves you so dearly. And it’s His desire to bless you. He wants you to have peace, perfect health, wisdom, success, victory in every battle, fulfilled dreams, strength, prosperity, all your wants and needs met, confidence in Him, and a wonderful Life with Him. He wants you to trust Him and know His love for you. God loves you so much that He gave His Only Begotten Son for you. For you. If there was no one else in the world, He still would have given Jesus for you. He loves YOU. And He is with you. Jesus, God’s Son, died on the cross as a payment for our sins, our wrongs, so we would be completely forgiven, have peace with God, and not experience hell (separation from Him), but that we would be one with Him forever. God gave up His Only Son, Whom He loved, knowing how much Jesus would suffer, in order that He could save you and have relationship with you. Our sins are forgiven because Jesus died for us, His Blood was the price for our forgiveness: “He was pierced for our transgressions” (Jesus received the nails, even though He never sinned, to pay for our transgressions), and Jesus said, “this is My Blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins” (Matt 26:28) (His Blood was spilled to give us forgiveness/remission), and it is written, “without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness” (part of Hebrews 9:22, sin had to be paid for, and Blood is the price, God does not forgive anyone except by the Blood of His Son) and “the Blood of Jesus, His Son, cleanses us from all sin.” (Jesus‘ Blood cleanses us from wrongs, sins, we no longer have a guilty conscious or a consciousness of sin) Additionally, prior to Jesus Christ’s piercings, He was beaten terribly, His Body wounded so badly, that ours would be healed, whole. So now, “By His stripes we are healed” Jesus did this for you. The LORD God did this for you. He loves you. Jesus suffered and died for us. And after three days, God raised Him from the dead, which justifies us. If God did not raise Him, then Jesus’ teaching was a lie. But God surely raised Him. Proving Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah, the Savior. Because of Christ’s death for us, we who believe in the Name of Jesus, have been given “the right to become children of God”, we are God’s Own children, He is our Father, and we are forgiven and justified of all things (which we never could have been under any law, because we always fail), and we have God’s favor (unearned), unconditional love and mercies, comfort, help, answers, “the exceeding greatness of His Power toward us according to the working of His Mighty Power which He wrought in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His Right Hand”, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the wisdom of God, the blessings of Abraham, the LORD’s friendship, peace with God (not wrath, even if we do wrong), etc, and we have Life with us and in us (the Holy Spirit). The LORD Himself loves you. And He blesses us, whether we’ve done right or wrong, because of His grace (gift) through Jesus Christ our LORD. How He loves us! Jesus said, “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom” (Luke 12:32) And we get to have relationship with the LORD God, with no fear or guilt. It’s all been paid. Amen! “You have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but the Spirit of adoption by Whom we cry out ‘Abba! Father!” And “There is therefore no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus” The LORD sees you and sees your affliction and cares if you have been unloved by someone else, but His love is more than enough for you. The LORD’s love is number one…always here, unbeatable, incomparable, everlasting, unchanging, never failing, always with you, He always loves you. “O give thanks to the LORD; for He is Good; for His mercy endureth forever” (Psalm 136:1)
Here’s something beautiful that Paul wrote to the saints (believers in Christ) in Ephesus:
“For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, 16That He would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man;17That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
20Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21Unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” Ephesians 3:14-21
May God grant you this, in Jesus Name.
God loves you so dearly. Run to Him, receive His love, and thank Him.
Glory to the LORD Jesus Christ, Who saved me, and is willing and able to save all who will open the door for Him. Amen.
You are forgiven by God through Jesus Christ. That’s why He died for us. for the forgiveness of sins. Mine, yours, everyone’s. He paid for all of our sins. He loves us. He loves you. You are forgiven. There’s no condemnation for you. You have peace with God, regardless of your deeds (whether good or bad ones). “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:” Romans 5:1 and it is also written, “your sins have been forgiven you for His Name’s sake” 1 John 2:12 You are completely forgiven and you have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ! Glory to God in the Highest in the Name of Jesus!
"Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." Jesus Christ, the Lord, has given us authority to trample upon the enemy and over all the enemy’s power. We are a kingdom and priests in Christ. We are more than conquerors in Him Who loved us (Rom 8:37). and we are seated with Him in heavenly places. You were not meant to be trampled upon, but to reign over evil. If there’s something wicked working against you, whether a car problem, hurtful words, illness, etc, speak against it with the Word of God and in the Name of Jesus. His Name is above all names. (above the name of cancer, debt, fear, enemies, etc). And/or pray about it. God hears our prayers, and because you have faith in His Son, Jesus Christ, His favor is on you. So just spend a bit of time with Him, and pray and praise. God listened to Rachel and opened her womb (she had been barren). When Paul and Silas prayed, God freed them from the inner prison. When David prayed, God delivered him.
Blessed be the LORD God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Blessed be Jesus Christ Who loved us and gave Himself for us and Who saves us.
Post with 1 note
I like when Jacob wrestled with God (see Genesis 32, Hosea 12). Sometimes we have to really pursue Him, in honesty, and know He will answer, and with a big answer. Just like He did with Jacob.
“And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a Man with him until the breaking of the day.
25And when He saw that He prevailed not against him, He touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.
26And He said, Let me go, for the day breaks. And he said, I will not let you go, except you bless me.
27And He said unto him, What is your name? And he said, Jacob.
28And He said, Your name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince have you power with God and with men, and have prevailed.
29And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray you, Your Name. And He said, Why is it that you do ask my name? And He blessed him there.
30And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.” Gen 32:24-30
Now, we know that if God did this for Jacob, He will do it for us too. (“For there is no partiality with God”) So let us pursue Him.
“As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.” (Psalms 55:16)
“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:” (Jesus, the Son of God)
“He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him”
After Jacob wrestled with God (with tears and supplication and would not let Him go (as explained in Hosea), even through the night and into morning), God “blessed him there”
God is a Good God, and He wants us to seek Him, find Him, and be blessed by Him. He wants us to receive great things from Him. That’s why He told us to “ask…seek…knock”. And thr Word of God says He “is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think” So let’s start asking and thinking! Glory to God the Father through Jesus Christ His Son, forever and ever. Amen.
